Das zentrale Motiv für die städtebauliche Planung für den Forschungsstandort des DLR war die Etablierung eines zeitgemäßen Campus um dem Standort für die Akquisition weiterer Forschungsaufgaben einen Vorteil zu erarbeiten. Wir haben dabei auf die Qualität der Außenräume gesetzt. Bei der Umsetzung des Entwurfes in den Bebauungsplan haben wir darauf geachtet, dass das Baurecht neben den Grünflächen nur Bauräume und Bauvolumina festlegt. So bleiben die Entwicklungsmöglichkeiten des Betreibers mannigfaltig, die räumlichen Kanten jedoch gesichert. The central motive for the urban strategy for the scientific headquarter of the DLR was the establishment of a contemporary campus in order to strengthen the location’s possibilities for the acquisition of new research assignments. We especially focussed on the qualities of the outdoor areas. Translating the idea into the land-use plan we paid attention that the building legislation would determine apart from the open spaces only the construction space and the construction volumes. In this way the development potential of the operator stays versatile, the urban edges, however, are secured. |
